I agree with the concerns about a downward spiral. If you are managed incompetently it doesn't matter how much money you have, if you identify players with poor personalities that don't buy into the club you end up with mercenaries. If you don't address key areas in your first team let alone squad you are in trouble. If you hire the wrong management with no vision and no footballing ethos you lurch down a spiral to the bottom. We are in very real danger after two years of mismanagement at every level of being cosigned to onlookers to the top six forever. If we have any hope of sorting this mess out. We get safe, then Moshiri needs to pull rank on his investment it's Big Sam, Walsh, Kenwright, Elstone the lot out and professionals in every position in.

Hi mate, as he is the principal share owner and de facto the owner you are right. The hiring of management staff, does fall on his shoulders but also on the other shareholders but he does have the final say.

But when it comes to signing players he has to in the absence of indepth knowledge rely on the management staff. He has to take note of them, bowing to their superior know how on players and pay up according to their advice. However he has absolutely no say in team selection or tactics. The failures on the pitch are thus not to be laid at his door. There is only 3 people to blame for the abysaml showings on the pitch - Allardyce, Lee and Shapespear.

Now back to the other item, I am one of those who thinks he is here for the long term and not a quick buck. It has been pointed out in other posts the inherent difficulty of selling if the club has a debt the size of which has been the subject of great debate. So when you talk of binning Mosh off, you mean all the other principal shareholders as well, for that to happen some one has to come and buy. It is not going to happen for some years if ever. That is my view, it does not meet up with your's exactly but so be it, we are all entitled to have our opinion.
Tbh, im pretty much of your view, just getting my fume on really.

It's OK(ish) for the top man to not have he depth of knowledge of everything, thats why he has people below him.
The people below him, but above the 'on field' aspect, are the same ones that have staggered from one coque up to another for years, all hes done is added Walsh to the mix.

He may think he can keep the BMD separate from the footy but it isnt like that.
His responsibility, his total responsibility should be getting both Himself and everybody in The Club 'playing/working' for the name on the front of the shirt, not the name on the back

Just seen a thread on it but it was closed.
I think, if true, it might be one of those - 'be careful what you wish for' things and has the potential to roll around in the smelly stuff of 'unintended consequenses'...this being Everton and all.

That said I wont cry if he goes and will let him back in on match days only. If they want to sweeten his going with the title Honourary Life President well yeah, whatever gets his hands off the train set.
He can even come back if (god forbid we dont) we ever need his Hickson type schmaltz again

Moshiri might be a billion dollar accountant, but his football experience and related desicion making has been poor so far...he makes Kenwright look like...well as I can't actually think of a respected football font of knowledge, I'll go with Jimmy Hill.
I mean he talks to Jim White ffs.

Short Version; Kings Dock - say no more.

It's a shame that Moshiri's dream team of Emery and Monchi didn't materialise.

If we threw more money at Monchi in particular (Emery we had no chance because of PSG), we could've saved/better spent £250m.

Crazy how much a few extra £m for the right people in control can have such an effect on hundreds of millions.
