So i'm back in the washington dc area for the weekend because i'm on break from university, which is pretty good timing because USA are playing a world cup qualifier against cuba at RFK stadium today.

I'm excited that i get to go (especially excited to see tim howard), but i'm pissed that i left my only everton kit in my dorm room so i won't be able to where it to the game.

since i'm in need of a new kit anyways, i went to the local pro shop to buy one. this place had sky 4 kits (obviously), plus a fulham kit, and a home and an away kit for aston villa, and like 15 home and away kits for Newcastle, but of course, not one [Poor language removed] everton kit. pisses me off how ignorant most americans are about soccer, barcelona had their own freaking section in the store, with a ton of home away and third kits, and i bet half the people who buy those couldn't tell you that their precious team finished 3rd last season!

its really a minor thing, its just frustrating that i won't be able to where my everton shirt in support of howard, (also my everton beanie hat was stolen last year), and that a store would actually sell newcastle kits ahead of ours. is a 5th place finish seriously not even enough to get noticed???

I can't think of any reason why anyone would wear a jersey with AIG on the front. The only time I ever saw an offical Everton jersey for sale was in a small shop in Toronto last year. It was $160 CN which is insane considering you could buy a decent knockoff kit for $20 in Kenisington Market.

Have fun at the game. Go early, the tailgating is always fun at RFK.

haha today i arrived about 10 minutes late, but yes i usually tailgate before dc united games and its always a great time. have you been to rfk a lot?

the game was a lot of fun, had a great time. it was a bit mean, but towards the end we started singing "how many cubans will go home? not a [Poor language removed] one!"
