fifa 10 vs pro evo.

mate im playing it now, much much much improved from the previous two years. It is class, i suggest you trade fifa in for it.
 
thats just it though, better than 2 years ago is not enough anymore.

The bars been raised, i got so pissed off last year with it, and couldnt bring myself to buy fifa last year.

So i havent had a decent footy game to play at all this generation, I'm impressed with fifa 10, all the gameplay nuances that pro evo were known for, and i thought ea were incapable of are all there in fifa10.

The pro evo games feel like a last generation engine, and an ageing philosophy, and the gameplay has gone overall sideways at best since pro-evo 6.

And although i loved it in its day, its gone stale on me, I was hoping for universal praise and agreement thats it was back at its best, but it looks like its going to be another 12 months before i buy.

I know i would still enjoy it, but it doesnt seem enough to be worth the hassle backtracking now.

That's the thing in a nutshell. It all depends on preference. If you feel Fifa has set the bench mark since last year, is a leap ahead of PES, stick with it.

The new one has been compared to PES 6 or at least its as good as, maybe better than PES 5. If you like PES, buy PES. PES 2010 is meant to be for the hardcore PES fan.

Fifa will end up getting stale as Fifa 10 isnt much different from Fifa 09. Its a formula. If it aint broke dont fix it.

So unless you're expecting a complete PES overhaul, its gonna be a while. The gameplay is what seperates the two games, makes them distinct.

I am loving it though, i really am, im gutted i've got work at 4, otherwise i'd be on this the rest of the day

Thats what i was getting though at the time of pro evo 6, imo fifa was complete dung, floaty cross field lobs ridiculously high scoring games.
The gameplay that seperates them is such small degree's these days, I'm not sure what to make of it all, they both still play a great game of footy, and i'm desperatley waiting for a pro evo overhaul because it is long overdue.
I just wish seabass would have the confidence to rip everything up and re-assess what makes a great football game and let rip.
Even if theres no pro evo game for 2 years or more.
Surely theres has to be a r&d department looking at possible directions for a overhaul.

By the way has anyone tried pro-evo online yet? hows it going?

IMO that rips out the soul of what PES is. They might as well rip off Fifa and add bells on, which is what Fifa did at the end of the day. Fifa always had the best, fluid looking game but the game play was gash. Put that fluidity with PES gameplay, tweak it, there's Fifa 09.

PES is slowly getting there. The only differences gameplay wise is generally the fluidity or the players and movement. PES still feels robotic compared to Fifa. But the fundementals and general play of PES hasnt changed, which is what makes it great.

But its boiled down to taste and preference rather than which is better between the two games. Both have pro's and cons and both balance out.

As for online, servers just went live and minus a few complaining on forums the majority say its bug and lag free.

That is exactly what i am doing tomorrow. Trading in FIFA 10 for a much more improved Pro Evo from Gamestaion for £9.99. Played it before in HMV and it is well better than FIFA 10. Pro Evo is BACK!! (y)(y)
 

yeah i switched to Fifa last year, and it and '10 are alot better than pro i'm afraid to say. Although haven't tried the new pro yet...is it still run down the line pass it into the box BOOM for every single goal?
