I'm completely happy with it but cup final day should be last game of the season.Said it a few weeks ago that i thought the game would stay on the sunday at whatever time. But not a fan of just leaving the FA Cup Final as the main game on one day, with no one else allowed to play that day. Any game should be played same day, just easily make it before the FA Cup Final or after. Pretty simple
Or the Sunday early kick off match. The game is, indeed, a dead rubber and it also gives the Southampton fans plenty of time to get home. There is no particular need for us to be playing at 3pm that day and it would serve as an acknowledgement that it is the end of an era for probably the oldest remaining stadium in World football, one that was there at the founding of the Football League and home to so many 'firsts' including a World Cup semi-final.Said it a few weeks ago that i thought the game would stay on the sunday at whatever time. If it's 7pm as rumoured then you kind of get the best of both worlds, still got all day to enjoy the build up and the game will kick off in sunshine (hopefully) then become a night game as the sun goes down. Poetic I guess if the final game sees the sun literally set on the old place.
This whole thing with the FA Cup final is nonsense. If they're so worried about other games overshadowing it then I've got a radical suggestion, how about playing it after the league ends?![]()
Really hope they arent that stupid.Wondering if they will open the gates with ten minutes to go so fans without tickets can enter in the last game at goodison ?
Sometimes fans want to leave to avoid traffic etc or get there bus home ... Used to do it in the old days .... many young kids watched the last ten minutes for free.....Really hope they arent that stupid.
Im aware Joey, I just dont think this is the game to do that.Sometimes fans want to leave to avoid traffic etc or get there bus home ... Used to do it in the old days .... many young kids watched the last ten minutes for free.....
Remember doing that for the 3-2 Wimbledon game and was promptly marched back out again by a stewardSometimes fans want to leave to avoid traffic etc or get there bus home ... Used to do it in the old days .... many young kids watched the last ten minutes for free.....
Their not going to want 100s/1000s pouring into an already full stadiumWondering if they will open the gates with ten minutes to go so fans without tickets can enter in the last game at goodison ?
