Bruce Wayne

Player Valuation: £100m
Everton come, not surprisingly 6th in this seasons financial performance league.

We earnt £25.67 million, compared to £30.55m for Spurs in 5th, although it has to be said that they earnt £3.22m more in the cups than we did. Also of note is that Spurs only earnt £2m for their UEFA Cup run to the quarter finals.

Interesting breakdown nonetheless.

Premier League earnings: Prize money (max £9.7m, min £487,000); TV cash (£8.9million per club plus £340,000 or £250,000 for each live Sky game, depending on timing and whether PPV game); Overseas TV, sponsorship and licensing money (£4.02m per club).
European: Champions League earnings (TV money and performance bonuses); Uefa Cup (TV money and peformance bonuses)
FA Cup: Prize money (£40,000 for third round win rising to £1m final win); TV money (£150,00 to £265,000 per live match).
Carling Cup: £100,000 for clubs in a live televised match.

Bruce can i ask, as it is obvious youd by and sell me when it comes to analysing the club when it comes to finace. in realistic terms, how much of the above amount, do you think will be put in the transfer budget?

The above figures are more than likely included in this seasons budget. I think Wyness usually budgets quite conservatively, aiming to finish 10th or something, so you could assume that we have earnt more this year than expected and might therefore have a bit left over to carry into next season. It's difficult to make assumptions however.

What is clear is that next season there will be quite a large jump in income because of the new tv deal. If we were to replicate this season it could be expected to bring in an extra £15 million from the PL alone. So if you were to take a basic view of things you could say we have a minimum of £15m to spend but of course that doesn't take into account wages, European money etc. There have been rumours of a budget of around £25m, which considering our spending this summer + the extra tv money it's easy enough to see where they've derived the figure from.

I could make guesses but without more financial information such as basic profit/loss information it wouldn't carry all that much accuracy.

As a guide to tv income for next season see the table below:

but maybe not value for money at the prices touted. Moyes will know what is best. I trust him.

Interesting!
I've notice a bigger margin of price money difference between 5th and 6th!
We've lost a few million due to some [Poor language removed] referee at chelsea's game.

It's worth noting that Spurs have done well in both domestic cups plus reached the last 8 of the UEFA cup. It hasn't earnt them mega money but a few extra million in their coffers. Having said that the difference between 5th and 6th is still a good £1.5m.
