Firefox is a browser for the anti microsoft crowd. To me it's all meh doesn't make any difference, i use both depends which button i feel like clicking in my short cut tool bar.

Ok, I hadn't heard about Firefox until someone mentioned it on this forum.

So can anyone elaborate as to the advantages over IE and why one would want to use Firefox as their internet browser?http://internet-browser-review.toptenreviews.com/

It has quite a few valuable external tools that I use for work and had easier on-off manipulation of features at the time I swapped main browsers.

It isn't owned by a search engine (or company that owns a search engine) that has a financial (or any) interest in inspecting my browsing habits.

I've used Firefox for years and am happy with it. Because I'm on a Mac, I can't use IE beyond version 5 anyway, which is crap. Try it for a couple of weeks and I bet you'll end up sticking with it.

Firefox is much better then IE. I prefer the whole layout of firefox and how you can have a bookmark toolbar and stuff... makes everything I browse available in one click.

Go the Chrome.

You'll never go back.

if you like simplicity then yes, but otherwise, compared to firefox its poor..unless I was missing something.

Defo lar (y) its much quicker too, multi-tabbing on IE is like waiting for the RS to win the league

I can't work without firefox. The javascript debugger in firebug alone has saved my fine head of hair from being torn out before today.
It's just outstanding. It's a LOT more user friendly, but only if you are computer literate in the first place. For newbie's, IE is still best as it holds your hand a lot more.

Chrome isn't bad, but I don't like it. I quite like Opera but never get a chance to use it as I hammer firefox all the time for the plug-ins.
