I'm telling you, in our new place we seemed to have moved next to the largest population of sodding flies in Europe. They're doing my feckin' head in. There are two big ones "courting" on my damned computer screen. Put a cup down, a fly pukes on it. Eat a meal, a fly jealously buzzes around seeking an opening. They're everywhere and I hate them.

I want one of those guns, mate. I actually hate killing things. But these little sods are doing my head in. Lucky for us that summer is almost at an end. Next year we'll be prepared!

get a 'plant sprayer' full of water with the nozzle set to 'mist' and take the suckers down.

also, get some screening to cover open windows, the mesh stuff that will allow ventilation but no flies through.

Where I lived before we had a serious, and I mean serious midge problem. You couldn't go outside in the summer for more than 5 minutes before running indoors, bitten to death (it was like walking through a bush of nettles). The midges were WORSE than RS fans. You can swat a RS, unlike 8 million midges

These tossers are black, which makes them more like Geordie flies I suppose
