one thing that interests me is that Bupa is a "provident association", who is supposed to reinvest all profits earned in better services. Don't get me wrong, I'm NHS all the way but the principle interested me and I wondered whether it should be applied to football
Could a football Club be run in a similar manner, with no shareholders, no sugar daddies, just stand alone institutions run for the benefit of the clubs fans, with all revenue re-invested. No Profits taken out.
i know some clubs are owned by the fans, but they still own the club.
It strikes me that when a club means so much to so many people, why should someone have the right to mess around with it? or take the fans (a captive audience) for a ride, fleecing all their money without doing any good for the club.
