boo, any tips for a novice starter like me? I know like you said above it's good to go for up and coming youngsters who are going to rise more in the long term, but how much do players rise and fall in the short term? For example, is it not good practice to choose a player who has 5 easy games coming up and then sell them after those 5, because of the commission they take off? I.e. even if they were great in those 5 games, would they only go up about 10p max etc?
Yeah I mean if you were to purchase 10000 shares you could make a a decent buck in the short term for sure. I purchased Domingos Quina after the Everton game and his shares went up 16p after his wonder goal on the weekend. So if I owned 10000 shares I would have made 1600 pounds for one goal. I own 10 though so I made 1.60.
I've gone for the long game as if you can make a pound plus on each share (which I believe you can if you leave them for more than a year) you will be doing very well on your investment. It's just about getting ahead of trends much like fantasy football. So maybe some Southampton players might be worth a punt if this new gaffer can get em purring.
