Just throwing an idea out there.

Would anyone be interested in a GrandOldTeam Football Pools?

Each week I could publish a set of fixtures for members to pay £1 to enter. 75% of all entries would go to the winner(s), with 25% going to the sites kitty. In the event of no winner, the prize pot would accumulate.

A bit of fun, extra banter and it'll go towards a safety pot for the site.

I assumed you counted me in already?

It would get boring with me winning every week.

But I would be game as a badger, if you can get the numbers.

Would it use something similar to TDs Pred League? I mean that sort of points system?

No, I couldn't replicate that.

It'll be much simpler.

From a select group of fixtures (six fixtures), you would need to predict either;

Home Win
Away Win
Score Draw (1-1/2-2/3-3 etc)
No Score Draw (0-0)

Example

Everton vs Liverpool - Home Win
Man City vs Arsenal - Home Win
Stoke vs Bolton - Away Win
Nottingham Forest vs West Brom - Score Draw
Crewe vs Port Vale - No Score Draw
Leyton Orient vs Exeter - Home Win

All predictions would have to be correct to win. Sounds easy, but I would expect the prize pot to accumulate more than its won.

I see, so its only won if somebody gets 6/6? If not its carried over and if its drawn its shared?

As you say, sounds easy, but it wont be, can see it going a few months at times, somebody should make a fat wedge.

As said, count me in.

Are you doing it like the real Pools? 1 for a win 2 for a no score draw and 3 for a score draw without naming the winner or scoreline?

Your biggest obstacle will be getting enough members who are in a position to be able to pay, via means that you can accept.

Yeah, how do you plan on getting the payment and paying the winnings? Paypal or something?

And don't take this wrong, i'd be happy to play for a bit of fun and maybe win a little bit of money and help this place out but :

Could i sue you if you run off with my jackpot?
