Football Rule Changes

Player Valuation: £70m
If I was in charge of football, there are many changes I would make. These are some of them.

Player Injuries
If a player is obviously struggling with a head injury then the ref can stop the game. Or if it is a break or nasty challenge, then the ref can stop the game. Otherwise the game goes on. If the player is near the touchline, he has to roll off the pitch and be treated. Because I think 90% of injuries near the touchline are for [Poor language removed] all.

Player Celebrations
Cut out this yellow card bollocks. Nothing wrong with players celebrating with fans. Eto got booked last week for giving a female fan a peck on the cheek. Not exactly inciting riots.

Handball
A handball should be treated the same in and out of the penalty area. At the moment you can get away with a penalty claim by citing ball to hand, but that rule outside of the penalty area is more often than not flagged as a foul.

Penalties
Fouls inside the box again should be treated the same in and out of the penalty area. Again they are not.

Obstruction
What is obstruction? Because if a player shields the ball in the middle of the park, the same way he does if its going out for a goal kick, then its deemed obstruction, so why is it not obstruction when its going out for a goal kick?

Shirts
Why is it a yellow card when a player takes off his shirt? If the player has an offensive message, than book him. But what if its like a tribute or a celebration shirt underneath? Its bollocks as usual.

If I can think of anymore I will do. Anyone else like to contribute?

Simulation
Feigning a foul or injury to get a penalty, freekick or a player booked or sent-off. Said player will at least be booked. If it is a second offense then red is shown.

completely agree with both. Especially the player celebrations, and the simulation. We should also make a rule and enforce the rule that no player except the captain of the team can complain to the referee...

Yep, try telling that to Man U players?

Here's one where I think the 4th official and TV replay could be used, and if on review it's clearly a dive in the box, straight red. However, what happens ifthe ref thought it was a dive and waved play on, then turns out is was a foul?

Therefore another change should be that a dive is a foul. That way, play is topped anyway and the 4th official can let the ref know - red card for dive, or penalty.

Agree - and the other officials too. And players who surround a ref should get yellow immediately.

Or have a review panel on the Monday, and start handing out suspensions and fines post match. They will soon stop doing it if they know that the cameras are scrutinising them.

Cancel the offside rule

I cant understand what the rule is and have heard different refs give different opinions over the same decision.

Just try not having any offside and lets see if it improves game.

Injuries

unless obviosly serious, allow phsyio onto pitch while match continues
(maybe exception in penalty area)

Talking to the ref

Captains only. Anyone else caught talking to the ref about a decision will be booked.

Mike 'em up

Lets hear what the horrible little oiks are saying. Might make them swear a little less if the whole world can hear them.

Thought id bring back this thread...came up with another suggestion...

Any team that recieves a straight red card should have a point taken from them in the league table...surely that way itd cut some bad tackles out, and maybe even arguing to the referee....

Also i think the incedent today with mascherano was the FAs response to all of this back talk. Long may it continue

did nev get a straight red for his handball on the line in the '****-face-derby'?

hibbert did, and that wasnt right either.

so not only robbed of at least a draw in the game and so at least a point by merit, we would have faced losing another two points.

lets see how long it takes for the current referee politeness novelty to wear off.

leopards dont change their spots, snides like drogba, ronaldo, fabregas, gerrard - it wont take long before they are diving and screaming for penalties.
