Football: Still a contact sport?

Is football heading towards becoming a non contact sport?
(Generally speaking, I know big Vic is still rubbing his shins.)

Gary Lineker was never booked but I doubt he would achieve that in today’s game. More and more you hear football pundits use the Phrase: “Yes, there was contact” with no other explanation as to why the guy had been penalized. So if your defender and around your own box don’t make contact (Unless it’s a corner in which case it head to head combat)

It is already a non-contact sport almost. What gets me about the game knowadays is Goalkeepers can come out fists a flying and nearly take off opponents heads, yet they get the slightest breath on them and the attacker is penalised. Barclays should relinquish their sponsorship deal with the Premier League and hand it over to Fairy Liquid.

ha ha i have been saying this for a while,

when you see a defender covering the ball as a striker tries to get it and then hear the ref's whistle you gotta moan :lol:crazy !!!!!!
