Just bought Footie manger 07/08 to deal with my footie withdrawel sumptomns havnt played any of them in a few years and they seem to have change a bit since 03/04, anyone got any advice tips!

1st season - SELL
Lescott (I know) for about 4-5mill because Jagielka is better and can play RB.
Anichebe for about 3-5mill, and loads of youth (Ruddy, Boyle, etc) for a couple of grand. Keep Vaughan cos you're forwards will get injured.
Hibbert for about 3-5 mill.
1st buy defenders, rock hard ones because you're team will leak in goals like soppy tarts.
Van Den Borre (4-6mill) - lb
Mickael Chretien - rb
Federico Fazio - cd
Arturo Vidal - cb
Armand Traore - lb
Play Van Der Meyde - he's actually alright, better than Pienaar, and you cant sell him otherwise cos nobody wants to coont
Let Carsley run his course or get try and get rid for pennies.
BUY
Arshavin - 8mill, bit injury prone on my game but just look at the stats.
Matais Fernandez - 9-11mil and he will get you 10-20 goals a season, mostly freekicks.
Both can play anywhere in midfield.
Yak will bang them in, and so will Johno (both will get 10-20 goals a piece) but are a bit [Poor language removed] together - Yak got me 36 goals in 40 odd matches as a lone striker.
Arteta, Cahill, Fernandes, Osman, Piennar are a decent midfield that can play and will get goals - adding Fernandez and Arshavin will give anyone a run for their money.
Next season?
Sell Baines for 10mill (It happened on my game funny enough) and maybe Arteta if teams arent falling over backwards for Fernandez (cos they will) for 10mill+ so you can have about 20-30 mill (adding the initial 12 mill transfer budget) in the bank and buy some pros!!!!!!
