Needs to cut out the BS about wanting the right fit attacker....Richarlison was sold 7 weeks ago.

If he allows this to drag on this week without landing a striker it's very poor.

He's told that board once this summer they need to pull their finger out. I expect his dialogue to become a lot sharper going into our 4th game of the season with no decent striker up front.
It’s not so much the right fit, it’s not throwing silly money on anyone, it’s how you end up with a Niasse (a £2m player bought for £13m) or a Tosun (£5-10m bought for £27m) that’s why all the striker links have been in the £10-15m bracket

For me in this order I’d go Dembele (£10m), Gomez (£10m), Brereton Diaz (£12-15m)

It's transparently obvious that this is the case. The board will scapegoat him. That's why he is a mug if he doesn't publicly demand a striker and more this week. He has nothing to lose by calling them out. They will dispense with him by the November World Cup break, because he's wasting his time if he thinks he's getting a tune out of the current rabble. He's not that good a coach. He needs to be realistic. His continued tenure depends on buying better players than we currently have.

Since he joined us in January Eddie Howe has over double the points that Lampard has gained during that time.

Newcastle were a much worse team than us.

If we sign that Diaz from Blackburn we deserve to be relegated.

I will say that while he doesn't have a ton to work with his attacking philosophy is hard to actually figure out. A lot of low percentage shots from distance isn't going to do it regardless of who is playing. I want to see what happens if we do get some real players in but I'm not hugely positive about it.

We're very solid though, 3 of 4 goals conceded down to horrendous individual errors.
I understand what you're saying but I've been watching Everton for too long to say they shouldn't have a shot from distance; it is something that has needed drumming into them for years to have a pop like that. Admittedly it's not a long term strategic ethos or philosophy but for now it is something I want them to have the confidence to do. Lampard himself had a very successful career out of it.

But yes, we need more in no doubt.

I wasn't really into having him as are manager, but he has been hung out to dry by are recruitment, three games on no attackers, even with DLC we need possibly two other attackers.
I am behind him fully till they get him one.

It must be 50 /50 he will keep his job till Xmas unless we get a good one.

We are playing "ok" but the concern for me is he's not a natural 3 at the back manager and you can see that in him playing Myko at LWB over a natural wingback in Vineagre who would get up the pitch and put balls into the box.

1-2 attacking players would help but his subs are diabolical.

King Salaman was playing like a man possessed and he takes him off for McNeil and the game is lost/nothing is sticking up there.

He'll get time from most but patience will inevitably be lost from the Goodison faithful if he doesn't start showing some consistency in his management.
Man possessed? By what, the spirit of a donkey? 1 shot in 60 minutes and looked spent after 20

He's naturally more attacking I think he's gone safety first because he knows if we open up we will be ripped apart. We need better players every where and a consistent system he is tactically naive in ways but I will judge him properly when he has a full squad. Chopping and changing managers again won't work.

7 weeks....and by the way...we knew from way before the end of last season Richarlison was off.

Sorry, I want Lampard to succeed, but he's fallen asleep at the wheel here...that or he's succumbed to the likes of Kenwright et al who are telling him fairy stories...either way it's poor.

Lampard IN...but he needs to grow a pair now and impose himself.

Erm????

Don't know whether Rondon was tiring or what but the Rondon change done us that game.

That being said, he put enough talent and organisation on to that pitch to win the game. Forest were absolutely wank.

Ideally Big Kev Thelwell would have come in first and brought his own manager in.

I think Lampard is shoe horned into the 3 at the back system at the moment and im struggling to see him navigate it effectively enough.

We're not playing badly but his subs keep losing us points. His stubborness towards the King has to stop.
