Out of the League cup. Out of the Fa Cup. 3rd from bottom and 3 wins out of 18 league games and even when we play ok we still get beat. If we don't get rid we will go down. I would rather take my chances with another Manager even if its just for a bit of a bounce and better organisation than watch us get relegated and be the laughing stock of the country.

I disagree. I think Dyche improves our odds just because he had proven credentials of doing exactly that.

I hope we beat Southampton and never look back. Lampard comes across really well.

But none of us know the score with Lampard, really - other than I think only Mike Walker has a worst record as Everton manager.

Honestly there's at least a dozen more modern, more successful, more competent managers free at the moment. Even if we go through that list and they turn us down - still he is in a group with another 20-30 managers of his level who I would rather give a go.

People seem genuinely happy with that performance tonight. I think the board are desperate to avoid another change. We are at rock bottom.

Further, why should Everton spend money they supposedly don't have on swapping a manager who guided this toothless group out of relegation last year for another manager like Dyche who ultimately did not keep a toothless group out of relegation? If money is available, for chrissakes spend it on players who can score or can create scoring opportunities.

Frank has played his part in this mess, but the reality is sacking him and replacing with literally anyone else doesn’t guarantee our safety or make it materially more likely we stay up in my opinion

We have no attackers, Iwobi may be out a while.

Celtic would struggle in the PL. They play in a 3rd rate league where nearly every game is a win. They lose all their Europe games. Wouldn't touch him with a bargepole.

Was you turning your nose up at Howe, relegating Bournemouth and conceding 70 a season? Has won everywhere he has been and his trajectory is still up, Rodgers came from Celtic and done well....

Think we have to be pragmatic and care about an immediate fix because we're facing relegation.

It's a sorry state of affairs as you say, I never would have thought I'd be advocating Sean Dyche as a solution but we could end up doing a Sunderland if we go down.

To me, there's one bloke free who has a history of keeping a team in the league for 7 out of 8 seasons*
