Free bikes for Scousers

FREE bikes are being wheeled out in most areas of Liverpool in a bid to get people active and cut down on car use.

The TravelWise project is being piloted in Liverpool until April, using European Union cash, and will attempt to gauge the demand for cycles.

More than 3,500 postcodes in Liverpool are eligible for a free bike, including residents in Wavertree, Old Swan, Anfield, Everton and Dingle.

Its a shame i live just yards outside of the City Boundaries because at the moment, my bike is knackered with gear problems
