If you are right ( you may well be I don't have a clue ) then every penny should be thrown at midfield.I agree, I don’t think we have a lot.

It'll be Keane getting moved on. Only got two years left on his contract and the weakest of the 3 senior cb's at the club.

The way I view it is we have 3 PL level CB’s and 1 PL level midfielder fit.
Say we only have £50m to spend this window I’m sure as Hell not buying a CB.
Think we have way more than £50m. People say we shouldn't buy x player because they see centre mid as a priority, but once we've bought two centre mids, are people thinking thats enough business? I'm sure we have enough money and time to buy the 4 positions we need, it's not too much of an ask.
Midfields the big one but I think centre half is just as important as the others you mention. The current options can’t play a high line and can’t play out from the back. If Ancelotti wants to do either of those things then we need a new centre half. We also have saleable assets in that position if we want to balance the books. It makes perfect sense to me.I think they’re maybe concerned at a distinct lack of firm links to people in the problem positions (mid, wing, RB, GK) more than that we’d buy a centre half.
Well that's the point. If we have £200m to spend then sure, go buy a CB first, if we have £50-60m to spend then don't spend half of that on a CB.
All depends on Mina’s injuries for me. He’s been at the club long enough for the club to know if he’s made of glass or just unlucky. Mina’s upside is far higher than Keane. He’s younger, quicker, more aggressive and I would love to see a fully functioning Mina at set piece.I would definitely move on Mina before Keane. Not much between them and one is injured a lot. We need players who are available
It's difficult with only £50m, it'd be fairly impossible to get 3 top players but I'm sure we'd know not to blow half the budget on a centre back if it was the case hence why i don't believe its true.

Mina is far better then Keane. Keane falls to bits when there's a crowd and can't handle simple things like a straight ball over the top. Also kean has two years left on his contract, he's two years older then mina and as far as this myth about mina always being injured Keane has played 34 games this season and mina has played 33 games.
I'd imagine Keane will be on higher wages then mina as well because he was bought under Walsh. As well as we bought Keane for less and he's been here longer. Meaning we will of paid off more of his contract, meaning anything over what we owe goes down on the books as profit. We bought him for 25m to be paid over the course of 5 year contract. That's 5m a year, we've had him for 3 years so that 15m paid off. So anything over 10m will go down on the books as profit.
If we sold Keane and bought say Gabriel I'd imagine we save on wages as well as upgrade on our cb. Personal opinions and all that but I just think it makes more sense. Of course it all comes down to who is willing to actually buy the two and if they meet our valuation of the players but I believe the plan is to sell Keane.
I like Mina a lot but he does get caught out with a long ball over the top too often too
I know what you mean but I don't necessarily agree. I think mina is reluctant to meet a ball over the top if he isn't goal side of a player and prefers to let the ball bounce before he deals with it, ironically this puts him in trouble sometimes.
Keane on the other hand looses the flight of the ball, the man he's marking, what end of the pitch we're defending, the memory of his mother's face, his hopes and his dreams. Just ends up a broken man on the floor.
No we need way more than 2 central midfielders but that must be the place to start .Think we have way more than £50m.
