Hi Blues,
I've been a die hard Aussie Evertonian for the last 20 years. Seamus Coleman has pride of place on my living room wall.

I'm finally making the trip over to see the blues live in May, before the old lady is no longer our ground. Not to experience the atmosphere inside the ground would be a regret I couldn't bear.

I'd love to get some tips on where the best place to sit in the ground would be? I am keen to get the most out of the Goodison atmosphere and passion.

Also any recommended game day places to go, pre and post game, would be welcome.
As a Lone bloke travelling over, it would be great to chat Everton with some locals.
Also anything else in Liverpool that is worth a look, please share.
I've attached a picture of my Seamus drawing.. Just because he is a legend
Cheers

It all depends on what experience you want. Lower Gwladys is probably the loudest part of the ground, and the main stand has the best views. Upper Bullens is a good seat, as is Upper Gwladys. I sit on Park end, which is probably the most comfortable in General ticket level.

There's a few pubs in the area, get to the ground a few hours before, give yourself time to walk around the ground and sink a few pints. Winslow isnthe obvious choice, but plenty have a good atmosphere.

In terms of what else the city has to offer, what do you like? Chances are the city has it.

I'd recommend doing the RLB360 tour, where you go right to the top of the Royal Lover Building clock towers. In a snilar vien, do the Anglican Cathedral tour, amazing views from up there.

Are you travelling alone? Try the Hope street Hotel for accommodation, cause it's amazing, or try the Titanic Hotel for views of BMD.

From the states been over 3x now and never even seen a goal inside goodison. Did manage to see richy score at man city though.

Been to an AFC championship game and a 0-0 match vs arsenal still the takes the cake as far as experience.

The Ethiad is like every other stadium in the states nothing special.

Goodison was truly something special.

Have a
Blast hope you see a goal

Thanks mate, really appreciate it👍

Yeah, I'm travelling on my own, so anything with a friendly atmosphere where a single bloke can have a good yarn about the toffees is good by me.

I'm looking at buying tickets on stub hub for Forrest and Brentford so will go be able to give two different spots a shot
The lower Gwladys sounds like it will be one.

I'll definitely do both the tours too!

Doing the same, travelling from Australia (Kiewa) just to see a game before the stadium is no more. Went a step further and purchased the mascot package for my twins for the Man City game on Boxing Day. Are you a member of the https://www.facebook.com/groups/evertonsupportersclubaustralia ? You can get tickets thru them, they have an allocation from the club for Australian followers travelling over.

Whatever you do, don't get a seat at the back of the Lower Gwladys. You cant see the far half because of the roof and you can't see the near half because everyone stands up.

Yeah, the calling is strong isn't it.
Let's hope the blues pull off a suprise win for you 🤞
No I'm not, a member, though I will definitely sign up!
I just bought tickets to Forest and Brentford on stub hub. I should have waited for more replies, as it seems over priced, though in reality just knowing I'll be at the games is well worth it.

I've got family in Melbourne, so I drive through from Sydney to visit. I've stopped of for a break in beechworth caravan park a few times. Not to far from you.

thanks for the help mate 👍

Obviously, a stadium tour too.

Thanks for the heads up.
I ended up in the lower Bulllens towards the park end.
Looks like I'll be in line with the 18 yard line.
I’m a big fan of the lower Bullens from a character perspective. The concourse is super tight, the roof is low and there are wooden seats.

Everything Bramley Moore won’t have, so savour it now! Enjoy your trip!

100% Titanic Hotel mate. It's a stones throw away from the new stadium which will be quite the experience seeing the new build and then heading off to a match at the Old Lady.

Plus it's only a 25/30 minute walk into town so you could then go and do the Liver Building tour like @Jacko93 mentions

Lower Gwladys definitely the one for atmosphere and best views (imo) Upper Bullens and Upper Gwladys (minus any posts and any on the front row are ideal)

Have to disagree. The Titanic is undoubtedly Liverpools finest large hotel, but aside from being close to Bramley Moore there's absolutely nothing else to do there. I only stay there if I have the Mrs in tow or have a car to get in and out.

As you say, it's only a 20/25 min walk to the Pier Head, so why not stay in town with loads more to do and take the 25 min walk just to see the stadium and have a beer in the Bramley Moore opposite?

Id highly recommended the Double Tree by Hilton. Just off Dale Street so plenty of great boozers right on your doorstep without the massive 'town' knobhead crowd. Lots of nice places to eat too.

Edit: Right around the corner from the Lisbon, too.
