jeez that's bad.
 
It may have only been QPR, but i thought without him in midfield our passing and general play was a lot quicker than it was with Barry in the team. He's slowing us right down, and thats normally okay, but he's doing absolutely nothing with the ball when he gets it. He needs dropping for the Hull game. Provided he's alright; McCarthy - Besic HAS to be the midfield.

think they were probably more rotated than dropped. mirallas got injured just two days ago. quite frankly, i'm not sure anyone can judge martinez' decisions fully at the moment because we have no idea who's actually fully fit is there actually anyone fully fit? eto'o?), who's only fit for the bench, who's playing through operations etc.
 
I was gobsmacked by how awful Barry was today. Basically crapped out of tackles, COMPLETELY missed taking out his man resulting in a 2 on 1, just got breezed past by players all over the pitch, was wasteful....


What the hell is going on this season?!!?

I don't think Barry crapped out of anything as such but he was simply too slow to get to the ball in time to win the ball, the result being he hacked the player or they waltzed past him. But of course, Barry can never be subbed unless he is injured.
 
barry is shocking at the mo like, but for a cm mcarthy only plays what is in front of him, about four times he had the chance to open his body up and spread the play when receiving the ball, but it just goes straight back to where it came from, besic would try the more expansive option, barry and mccarthy together right now it just so ponderous, mccarthy will improve, barry looks done

Well the case in point is that Barry hasn't been roated. And he needs it more than the others

i'd say he deserves worse than rotating, but mccarthy has been out for months and gibson has been out for years. mccarthy, besic and barkley as a midfield 3 now for me! this season is all but gone regarding achieving anything in the league, so may as well look to our future boss midfield.
 
Think he needs a rest to be honest. As others have said he's one of the only players to not really get rotated.

I'd have James/Besic/Ross in the middle (at least 2 of them anyway). We clearly won't miss him on current form, but hopefully he can get back to his best still. He's always been slow so I don't think that it's a case of him being past his sell by date.
