With the signing of Toure looking to be on the cards and with the rest of the spending Citeh have done just wondering if anyone thinks they feature prominently this season, I know money doesn't buy you success and there is a question Hughes can manage so many egos, but I think with maybe another decent defender they could challenge.

I think Spurs will be up there two just quietly, there are some big decision's to be made at Everton FC in the coming weeks as I believe we need to be on par with clubs around us if we plan to finish in or around the top four. Opinions?

My thinking on City is that they might even struggle to make a Europa place. Here's 3 reasons without mentioning the brand new first team having to gel which is obvious.
1. The other teams in the division will be right up for playing them. They don't have that fear factor the sky4carry so I expect less teams to roll over for them especially at home.
2. While they've got individuals who can get a goal from nothing where are the leaders? Who is going to make them scrap when the chips are down like our Blue Neville or Timmy? Barry to motivate Robinho et al on a cold winters night in Burnley? I doubt it.
3. The pressure on Hughes will be immense, expect chopping and changing in the first 11 with each poor result. Egos are going to be badly bruised, I expect hissy fits left right and centre especially as I doubt these names really respect Hughes when they've come from top clubs with top managers.

We'll finish higher than City the more I look at it (and I try to take off the blue tinted specs) the more sure I am.(y)
