I do think that will be his best position. Deulofeus pace will be almost completely wasted in the middle of the park. The AM position needs to be filled with a player who is incredibly quick minded, rather than fleet footed. We need players out wide who, when we play a ball to space, can get there and mean that the opposition have to play much tighter to him. That thins out their back line, meaning they need cover from their DM, and allows more space for our strikers. Bringing somebody like Deulofeu into the middle of the park would allow their CH to dominate, as their main focus will be directly in front of them. exactly where they want it to be.

If we could get a poacher, or a striker who will hit it the moment they see the edge of the box, we could do some damage to teams this season, by stretching the back four. We've been far to narrow in the past few games, which is why our midfield is struggling, you saw the power of bringing width into the team midweek, why on earth would you want to neutralise that, as an Evertonian?
 
For our No. 10 role we need a stronger quicker Osman type player.

Deulofeu though, could go on to be incredible for us.

If Martinez finds some discount Silva to slip passes in between centre backs and full backs for Deulofeu to run onto, my expectations for this season will increase ten fold.

It needs someone that can thread a pass through the eye of the needle without requiring a huge windup telegraphing their intent. That's what Deulofeu would offer. As for pace - pace is useful in every position even GK. No10s play in the position between the defenders and the midfielders so the defenders wouldn't be able to get close to him and if they did Lukaku would be left one on one or they would have to play a high line so instead of playing into Del we would just hit Rom in behind and with Barkley deeper playing the pass I fancy the outcome. It's just an idea. I'm not even sure it would work but I would like to see it tried.

Mirallas is more the kind of winger you are talking about and isn't suitable for the No10 but Deulofeu has more about him.

Del was Unplayable on Wednesday though, only league 1 opposition but looking good!!

Doesn't matter that it was league 1 opposition, because it's not asif Del is unproven in this league, we know he can/will do that to whoever he faces :)
 
i hope roberto shows delly how lethal he can be as a passer. those crosses were class the other day. it will be tougher to get past premier league defenders but he has the speed and first touch to do it.
