i don't think his england performances have warranted the captaincy to be honest. he performs for club, but that shouldn't get you the armband.

Lampard should have been given it. He'll just have to add something to his game - he's obvioulsy not Stevie £e's level yet: leg breaking tackles; and work in the community battering defenceless people. That'll impress Mr Capello.
