I say : to be fair a2b, he wasn't. He's a bit off base in the first place saying it as he sort of does imply guilt by association and I suppose it could be taken personally, but you don't have to be so affronted by it or take it personally. Just state your case and point out his error then take it to pm and admins in private. Threatening legal action on a forum is just wrong.

imo a2b. Calling for him to be banned for that is weak. At worst he made a public declaration of what he believed to be the state of affairs in a thread where it didn't belong. You should have just pm'd him or pm'd an admin, asked for the thread to be removed or handled in private.
Honestly, I was quite interested in what you both had to say as it's not something im familiar with, shame he said it in Sharpys thread though.
Think you both need a week to cool off to be honest.
