I have seen alot of postings on how much we spend/Leeds going into administration etc etc. I think I am right in saying that Roman Abramovic has not bought a single player at Chelsea. He is allowed to underwrite the outgoings but doesn't actually pay for the players himself. The way the Prem has set up transfers is that the payments are over 18 months, ie A down payment, a payment after a year and the rest after 18 months. Not sure if this is exectly right but it is something like that. The point I am making is that it could be so easy for Chelsea to go bust if Roman decides to sell. Someone else has to take on these debts and could actually forfeit leading to administration. David Moyes has had no one to underwrite a new loan until Robert Earl. We need to spend this new money to make sure we move to the next level.It's not inconceivable that we can make the top 4 this year if we have the right numbers. The big difference for me this season will be extra creativity in midfield(especially if we get Manny back). 4-5-1 with our work ethic and guile would see us through I feel. We are nowhere near in trouble financially but need to push the envelope a bit more this year. Without the 2 signings that we are after at the moment the season could be flat within a couple of months. Am I right or wrong?

buying a business that has to pay arears(sp) will and always has had an effect on the actual sale price. a puppet like abramovich will definatley have puppeteers that know the difference between a good buy and a bad buy.

and if he decided to sell, by law he would have to account for all of the clubs outgoings.

chelsea doing a leeds are miles apart - in both terms.

By law he would have to pay nothing if someone buys the club. They take on the debts thinking that they can carry things on and he can just disappear. Law has nothing to do with it. Why do we have a mortgage for our debts? Did Peter Johnson pay up? NO. Why do you nit pick on facts rather than discuss the thread.

Would I? Bothered? You obvuiously have limited knowledge of business but try to argue your point anyway. I suppose you are to be commended for trying to get involved in grown up stuff. This was a thread to talk of EFCs spending and you want to argue with a fellow Blue by saying I would know if you wanted to upset me with your limited knowledge do me a favour.
