Golf 2025 Season…….

bcblue1878

Player Valuation: £50m
Here we are and it’s not even December yet, but the 2025 DP World Tour “tees off” tomorrow in Brisbane, Australia!

What are your golf plans, targets for next year?

Can Rory win another major, will Europe bring the Ryder Cup back from New York next September!

Oh and by the way watch out for the scammers!

Hopefully see my lad get down to scratch (nearly there) and maybe +1/+2 next year
Rory WILL win another major next year
Be tough for Europe in New York but I'm hopeful. We put our names down for tickets (usually never get offered them in a ballot) and last week we were offered tickets for a day.....£900 and included a snack and a drink 🤣

I said to the wife to buy them and we'll worry about the cost of flights and hotels later on....the phoneline went very quiet!!.

Flippin’ eck, how old is your lad, have to admire anyone who plays off a + handicap! Few years ago I had the pleasure of playing the Ailsa at Turnberry with a mate and a friend of his, my mate was playing off 1 but the other lad was playing off +4 😳! He’d had a go on the Challenge Tour but had packed it in because he felt he wasn’t good enough!
For £900 you’d want a bit more than a snack and a drink :pint2:!

He's just turned 16 mate 👍

We see lads all the time off +2/+3/+4 and then there's still levels above them who are just at frightening levels, they've got the distance, power, finesse, ball control, game management etc

It's the great thing about golf, there's always something to improve on and every little inch of improvement makes a massive difference.

The main thing is to just get out there (in better weather than the likes of today 😆) and enjoy..

Course rating of 77.5 and 7,500yds

That's an absolute monster!
Long Island is generally fairly flat, but the Black course has some brutal sloping in the fairways and massive bunkers.

I remember striping a drive down the center of the fairway and the damn ball eventually ended up rolling into the rough.

Think it was Sam Snead that called it an unfair test of golf. Still it’s great to see it’s in good condition these days. Growing up, the Bethpage courses were in pretty tough shape/disrepair.

Hope you get to see a day or 2 of it next year. A Ryder Cup is massively on my bucket list, especially an away one. I love watching the Medina highlights still, those last few holes from Mickelson and Rose were just unbelievable viewing.

I've been to an Open at Oakmont before and believe it or not I won't be going unless tickets fall into my lap. At least I'm not planning on it at this point. But Oakmont is a real test of golf and having played there, it can get real brutal for the pros.

After decades of playing I finally found a putting grip I can trust on 4 to 8 footers. Ended the season putting the best I ever have. Goal for upcoming season is to get my tee to green game back to where it was a couple years ago and get my index to the middle single digits from the mid to upper single digits.

To your other question - Rory just gotta win 1, then he'll win another quickly

I have to imagine he's going to come out swinging next season. The Pinehurst debacle was always going to be tough to come back from without some time off and soul searching. By next year he should be ready to go
