Good movies

Anyone got any good tips for films worth watching.

Seen recently;

American Gangster,
Pan's Labyrinth
Apocalypso
Atonement.

I can recommend them all, but Pan's Labyrinth is probs the best one of them. Atonement is very good as well.

Anyone recommend something worth watching?

I watched I am Legend the other day, that was pretty good. I only watched the God Father Trilogy recently- great films. Spider Man 3 was cool.

Stay clear of Perfume: The Story of a muderer.

The science of sleep - Very good movie
Bit like marmite though - love or hate?

Atonement was brilliant I thought yeah?

There's the new Coen brothers movie out tomorrow with Tommy Lee Jones in thats meant to be class.

Went to see attonement with the girlfriend (please see avator) it being her turn to pick i wanted to die 5 mins into it second worse film i ever saw after waiting to exhale (dont ask).

The golden compass was the best ive seen in a while, but then i loved the books, i rekon it might be a bit out there if you havnt!

Sweeney Todd was a bit of senseless fun too! Without being a visitor to brokeback mountain Johnny Depp is cooler then a polo mint.

'A guide to recognising your saints' is brilliant.
It didn't really get hyped over here, I only saw it off reccomendation from a friend. Its like a Bronx tale, Sleepers sort of thing.
Its got Robert Downey Junior in it as an adult narrating his childhood.
I'm surprised its not that famous as its as good as alot of them gangster type movies. Try it out.

I read perfume the book - its quite a good read. Can't imagine how they can translate it to film though.

Have seen I am Legend, enjoyable - but the plot has so many holes in it you could drain your pasta in it.

I thought spidy 3 was pants myself. Enjoyed the first two though.

I want to see the Cohen thing. No Country for Old men - it is called, is it not?

I thought transformers was gonna be the shittest thing I've ever watched but I have to hold my hand up and say it was loadsa fun.

It started sound then turned into a teen movie for me, all that [Poor language removed] with them hiding outside the house and all that.

This is England was different.

Really liked This is England - [Poor language removed]' brutal mind.

A movie worth digging out for a harmless bit of escapism is State of Grace.

Sean Penn and Gary Oldman (so the acting is top top drawer) as gangsters.

Not Oscar gear, but just a great [Poor language removed]' movie.

The whole Coen Brothers collection is brilliant. The big lebowski takes the trophy though, a film of Genius!
