Goodison to Lime Street

Mare of mine is going to the Derby game next Saturday and has tickets for the 5:30 Utd Forest game at old Trafford aswell. They are looking to get a train around 3:00 from Lime Street after the game. Do you think they would get a taxi after the game to get to lime street station for 3:00 or any other advice.

If it’s a mare, can’t they just trot down Scotland Road to town, only take a few minutes.


They’re probably best booking a taxi in advance and ask for it from county rd somewhere. Or an Uber. But it’ll be tight to get there for 3

Uber mate .

Me and the missus go out in Manchester fairly regularly and get an Uber home.

Comes in at about 70 quid which isn't to bad and it will get him the ground without any stress.

I always walk it mate, take about 45mins (2.1miles), the soccer buses pass me about half way on the walk, some taxis are available pulling up around the scotland rd, gt homer street area or book an Uber to pick you up in that kind of area. Any closer to the ground and they'll get snarled up in the traffic

They way both teams are currently playing you will probably be able to leave Goodison with 20 minutes to go and have ample time

You’ll need to leave 15 minutes from the end and start walking. You should be able to flag a cab down on the way.

Yeah getting off handy you’ll hopefully get one , the score however may impact on how busy it is

True. Infact if they batter us then then the armchair reds will head off into town on mass to join the thousands who travel into the city centre to watch the game in the pub.
