OK, so I lost a stone and a half earlier in the year when I was trying. Had a bit of a relapse over the last 3 months really, but have only put 8 pounds back on which is a bit of a result, especially after my hols. Now going to get back at it.

French onion soup for lunch !

Started adding a couple of runs a week into my cycling schedule to give a bit of variation.

Just did 8.41 miles in 1:04:14 so 7:38min/mile. There was quite a lot of uphill sections along the route. I was wondering if this is an ok kind of pace or should I be going faster/slower?

I know I could run faster if I was doing a shorter distance or without the hill climbs.

If I was going further should I keep as close to this pace as possible, or run at a slower pace?

Plus can any runners recommend earphones that don't fall out? I'm having murder with my iPhone 5 ones.

Started using weights last week, its easier than Cardio ( still painful like )

Whats the worst is the complete lack of strength you find ( or lose ) in about the 3rd of 4th set of reps.

Have a sound gym buddy x

Up your weights by one on the first set next time then drop one weight every set after that then lid.

That's because you're working out, otherwise it would be harder if you were training ;-)

Just come back from a month in Spain. Ate and drank and ate some more and did next to no exercise and drank a bit.

Put on 9 lbs, unsurprisingly. Sigh.

Back to work in a few days - at least I cycle 8 miles every day. Sooner the better!

Breakfast lads.

I need help!

Went out for a few hours on the bike this morning. Quite common over summer to have insects flying into you, but this morning a bee/wasp flew straight into my lip. Little sod must have jammed its stinger into as we both spent a good 20 seconds trying to get him off. Dang, that smarted I can tell you. Look as though I've been in a fight now.

The lamest excuse for having a prick in your mouth for 20 seconds that I've ever heard. We all experiment Bruce, it's perfectly natural, if it felt right then just go with it.

Thinking about packing it all in now. Went for around 6 months now I think and its just boring.

You see people on the tredmill or even jogging on the street for around 30mins if not longer, I can't even do 10minutes... Not because I am tired its just boring

That's your own fault for paying to go to the gym to use the runner, perfectly good and 'free' streets to run on :)
