Going to start with the important things first - Hawaiian pizza is fantastic, although I feel like that's the only time pineapple on pizza is acceptable.
Now that that is out of the way (and half of you stopped reading to compose your reply about raping pizzas), a little bit about myself I suppose. I was originally born in Moscow, and spent 10 years hanging out there until I found myself in California, land of palm trees and the wrong type of football.
To be honest, this is actually the first full year I've followed Everton - I've been watching the premier league for a while, but this was the first time I've watched games against the Stokes and West Broms to see how the club was getting on. The decision was actually pretty simple in hindsight - I've always had some sort of innate distaste for the other team from Liverpool, and after having had a chance to see the blues play (against my other team Juventus in the front row of AT&T park where my housemate had season tickets to the Giants, no less), the penny had certainly dropped. McGeady's transfer from my home team Spartak just sealed the deal, and being able to see him develop under as talented a coach as Bobby almost makes up for Bilyaletdinov having gone the other way (the boy is useless even without considering he spent most of his career playing for the other Moscow club, Lokomotiv).
In my spare time, I work at Google+ Photos and spend time reading about football tactics. I'm into math, computer science, machine learning, and all that stuff, so my ultimate pipe dream is to be able to land some sort of job at Opta or the like where I can actually have access to the kind of detailed data that I could glean some interesting conclusions from. It is definitely a little bit hard to line things up like that from the US, so I'd be very interested to chat with any of you that might have any connects in the analytics realm.
Will see you all around.
