I've been lurking incessantly the past few days and thought I would take this relationship to the next level.
How did you find these forums?: Scouring the internet for people that care about Everton because finding people in the flesh is difficult/4:45 AM kick-off times if I want to go to the pub and meet other Blues.
How did you become an Evertonian?: OD'd on World Cup as my form of sanity maintenance while studying for the Bar Exam. Was told by an undergrad classmate (a Spurs supporter) that choosing a PL team as an American is inherently arbitrary, and choosing a top four team purely for that reason is bandwagoning/corny, so find an arbitrary reason to pick a given team. Followed Tim Howard to the team in 2K14 on the heels of his fire-flames WC performance. The irony is rich now, believe me.
Your all-time favourite Everton player?: Tiny Tim Cahill
Your current favourite player?: Besic, Baines, or Lukaku
Pineapple on Pizza, Is it socially acceptable? What are your views?: Not only acceptable but encouraged. I'm from California, making New York pizza purists get their collective panties in a bunch is kind of our thing. Ham/CB and pineapple (often called "Hawaiian" here) is the sweet 'n' smoky taste sensation, what's not to like? As my friend once said upon deciding how to spend our just-won bar tab after prevailing in pub trivia: Hawaiian pizza is a "real party pizza."
Crossing my fingers for tomorrow to finally string together two wins.
