Yep fair enough, things have changed over there since I posted....Russian fans seem to be the aggressors last night....and the French Ultras have got in on the craic attacking Polish and Northern Irish fans last night......
It's all a bit of a mess really....

Still doesn't excuse England fans of blame though.....can't see Russian fans or French Ultras attacking the Republic of Ireland fans over there for no reason.....

From what I can tell it has been primarily England fans that have been hospitalised with reports of at least two fighting for their lives.

They probably deserved it though. I mean after all, they are English.

When England fans riot cities the night before and smash the place up, they put a bullseye on themselves (and a bullseye on all English fans sadly.....something these morons need to understand and take responsibility for)....

Irish fans have drank just as much as the English but no trouble at all....

It's a minority of your fans, but it's unacceptable....the violence from the Russians is equally unacceptable.....an embarrassment to both countries.....

The game hinged on that, it was an excellent performance in general and they bossed the game, should have been about 3 up. Rooney was terrific in running the game (as he was in a similar role in the cup final). Lots of players try to extend their career at the top level by dropping deep but few have the quality and footballing brain to do it, looks like Rooney has. the only downside in Rooney playing a bit deeper was that the players further forward, for all the domination, didn't have the subtlety to produce a winning pass or finish.
I was surprised by Rooney's performance. I too thought he ran the game. I can see him being the first name on the team sheet once Mourinho gets going, he's always been a fan of Wayne.

England won't progress, sorry lads. This team is not capable of beating a proper team at proper time. It's sure there will be 3 points against Latvia, Estonia or Norway but on the big tournament they just can't do it. When was the last time ?algieria 6 years ago ?

At least fans enjoyed it (as for Russians i told you it was going to happen)

Although Hoddle said during the game that it was "the best England performance since Germany", there was no positive change with Hodgson's subs. I thought Rooney had a great game in the new role and was pivotal to some surprisingly slick first half moves far removed from the way we usually play and its a pity some of his teammates weren't up to speed with his speed of thought and eye for a pass. Taking him off for Wilshere didn't work. However, I don't know what was happening upfront as the likes of Sterling and though, perhaps to a lesser extent Lallana, didn't know whether to stick or twist in the box which is garbage at this level especially as Kane was more pre-occupied with taking corners (and badly too at that). God knows what Ross Barkley's prospects of a game are...though if Hodgson persists with the deeper role for Wayne Rooney, it could free Ross up - maybe let his instinct/creativity show as dwelling on the ball and overthinking doesn't favour him - and they could complement each other very well.

Let's face it only Woy Hodgeson could make Harry Kane look ineffective- his substitutions were also the game changer, wrong players came off, and James Milner fell on his backside when we had the chance to run the injury time clock down the Milner did not defend the corner - if your manager is poor what chance have you got?

Lads I was drinking in a bar that is also a hostel watching England. There was about 10-15 English being super obnoxious and chanting England. That equaliser piped them raaai down. It was beautiful truth be told.
