I think the point he's making is that Koeman wasn't responsible for the fees we paid.

There's no getting away from the fact that we massively overpaid for Siggy at £45M. Anything over £20M and we should have walked away. How much did Maddison cost Leicester?

He´s fell off a cliff this season. Last year you could at least make the argument he was contributing even though his inclusion was likely to the detriment of the tram. This time around he has been woeful in every sense.

We could probably dupe a relegation threatened team into buying him but wages are going to be the issue.

He has been out the team a fair bit.

He used to be a decent player for which we paid a lot of money. His standard this season has been so consistently low I would get shut of him.

An expensive flop, one that really stings... But we simply can't compete for the top 4 with players like Sigurdson playing for us...


Won't be easy shifting him as he'll find it near possible to get the same wages at another club, so loaning him out is the most likely solution...
