I see no reason him and Ross couldn't play together. If Ross won't sign a new contract then he'll have to be sold. The club have clearly offered him a new deal.

Yeah that's why I'm quite "meh" about it. You can excuse a bit of the gulf in terms of Swansea being gash, but Barkley is simply the better player.

Sigurdsson is an OK replacement, nothing more. At least he can take a corner.

Totally get what you're saying.

But I think Koeman will want him for his productivity up top, and leave the midfield work for Klassen.

For the most part Barkley was doing all that himself until Davies turned up.

we also have the benefit of the early EL qualifiers, basically an extra 4 - hopefully competitive but not too so games.

Centre mid should remain pretty similar though which will help massively, and players like Giroud, Rooney, Sigurddson are all very experienced which also should help

I don't know why we didn't offer Barkley what he wanted instead of spending up to £35m on Sigurdsson and paying him reportedly more than what we offered Ross.

If Funes Mori is allowed to leave as is being mentioned - hallelujah - can see another starter centre back coming in. Think Williams is a stop-gap
