He's a massive part of the problem, because we seemingly can't not play him because of how much we spent on him, and he is terrible.
He scored a good goal yesterday, but that, and his other goal, are the only contributions he has made to any game he has been involved in. 2 goals out of nothing, and the rest of the time he hides. He is slow, poor on the ball, and his passing is atrocious.
Rooney contributes and has contributed much more and gets dogs abuse. Niasse, who was previously known as the worst player to ever wear the shirt, has contributed more. Even DCL, who is now looking like the young player he is with the last remains of confidence stripped from him, at least puts himself about and shows for the ball, even though he probably doesn't want it.
The excuses about position have worn thin, as he's now played in the centre and done nothing. My heart sinks when he's in the line up, as you know it's like playing with a man down.
The goal yesterday did little to justify why he should be in the team, and together with Schneiderlin and Gana Givitauey, it's 1 of the worst centre mid I can remember in a long time.
