I won't point out the obvious flaw in his argument that Ferdinand is Terry's minder, nor the fact that both of their increasing non fitness continues to make them vulnerable for the job.

Anyway, football is about opinions ~ even crass one's from our 'arry.

I have always thought that Terry was overrated. Rio is good but how can we confirm he still has it? Injury after injury takes it's toll and it will require a lot of time for Rio to become sharp again. It's time to move on.

He's as good as anyone defending and getting scoring opportunites from corners. However in open play he's average at best. Guys like Essien, Carvalilo etc have made him look alot better than he is.

Rio is good, just has one too many brain farts. Jags-Rio would be an excellent partnership as Jags has worked with similiar players like Lescott and Yobo and bailed both out on more than one occasion.

Your opinion mate but imo i think your mad wouldnt swap terry for jags now or in the future. Jags is only going to get better and terry is on the slippery slope of age. Terry has been poor since saha made a show of him at our place last year. If a 20 year old had of did what he did in that game he would have been slated.

Id say he was...but the past say 2 seasons, IMO he hasnt. Lost any pace he ever had, loses concentration, and is overall and very, very, snidey, cynical rat of a player.

Jags is in a very similar mould but has 2 things that make him a better defender right now at this point in football - Pace and the lack of nastiness to his game. I dont think I've ever seen Jags being caught out and cynically foul a player, kick out, spit or get "revenge" on a player as much as John Terry has through out his entire career.

As for Ferdinand, he's is a crock. Has been for 2 seasons, maybe even more ever since he had a back problem that was never fixed. But he was and always will be the better defender than John Terry.

But they're both has been's now on the international stage IMO. Time to move along.

And Arry's just bitter than Dawson looks gash on the international stage and has been injured so...boo-hoo

Dont get me wrong lids I love Jags, but I think Terry's a better player marginally and also is more passionate. Im not saying Jags isn't, its just you cant get a more passionate player than JT. Wouldnt ever swap them though, because I dont want people like JT at our club. I still havent warmed to Pienaar purely because of what I've heard/know about what he gets up to in his personal life. No c*nts at Everton please, no matter how good you are. Even Beckford I'm a bit like coz I've seen him out being a bell.

I dish out neg rep when someone says something I think is wrong. And pos rep when they say something I think is right.

And when I remember to, which I often don't.

And, while it wasn't me, you're wrong here. Terry isn't the player he was, he proved that both against us at Goodison and against Germany at South Africa.
