Basedon all the MLS games I've watched, he is 100% correct. The standard of officiating in MLS is abysmal. Even Poll would be the best referee here by a long shot, and no, I am not exaggerating.

Almost makes me respect the likes of Riley (but not quite).

believe me it is much worse. While the ref may call a penalty the last one i saw a gave a yellow card and penalty for a tackle from behind in the area from the last defender. Thses refs are completely clueless. I am not sure if they know what sport they are officiating.

You are not the only one I was there as well, that [Poor language removed] was simply corrupt, I have been moaned at on here by younger blues for mentioning that pricks name, oh how soon they forget!

I agree that all leagues and arguably all refs have howlers. But my point relates to not just a few poor decisions, but consistently poor decisions throughout a game. I've seen MLS refs this year literally getting more than 50% of the obvious calls on fouls wrong - not the tough decisions, the straight-foward ones.

And Clive Thomas doesn't count, he wasn't a ref he was always a [Poor language removed] in every meaning of the word.

Tbh the sooner tv is used in matches the better. It may slow the game down as a visual event but surely, especially with the sums now involved in the game, action is needed because so many decisions are clearly wrong and corruption is a possibility. It would also allow the fourth official to rule on idiots like Terry, Scholes, Gerrard and Rooney abusing on field match officials which is another illness our game needs ridding of

How dare you say that! Terry is the England captain. A leader, a man of integrity, blessed with the heart of 1000 lions, a pillar of strength anchoing England's fantablous fearsome back 4. His sportsmanship is unparrelled and he never stab you in the back. He plays for the love of the fans and his country he so dearly loves. Unlike other footballers for him it truly isn't about the money. Its for the love of the game. That's why he puts on the shirt.
