Hi,

Like another (Manc) blue I too found this place from a link on bluemoon.

Got to say, I have been very pleasantly surprised by the tone of the discourse on here. Clearly a well educated bunch who come across as very welcoming to oppo fans.

Been a City fan since I was 5 (1975!!) , and like Rascal I too grew up assuming I would only ever see us fail at the qtr final stage at best and the highlight of my City supporting life until the lottery win was Gillingham 99 (still the best day of my life).

So why the thanks..? Simply for changing my opinion of Everton. Sorry to say that until this season I always went by the maxim that "my enemy's enemy is my friend" and therefore leant towards the red Scouse.

How wrong was I?

This season has taught me that a bigger bunch of self important , self aggrandising load of fools you would be hard pressed to find than your red neighbours. The feeling of entitlement I have witnessed has been breath taking.

Then I come on here and find Evertonians are , to a man, exactly like us other blues. You know, self deprecating, decent, not taking life too seriously. And you too understand the bias that is shown day in day out in the media towards both sets of RS

So sorry for not realising sooner. Sorry for being taken in by the myth of "Liverpool fans are the most welcoming, decent fans in the world". Oh, and thank you for sending moyes to that other shower of RS

Have a great summer and come back strong next year (except when you play us obviously).

Except for those of us who are complete tools but that is just part of life's rich tapestry.

Any chance of you lot spending a load more money and getting banned from the "Champions" League?
 
Cheers mate. We are mostly normalish. I think the reason GOT seems pretty decent to other supporters is because only about 1% of chat is about footie, and most of that is complete tosh.

I've just signed up. Been on a few other forums about Everton but this one seems more active.
 

I support Everton, there was only one day in my life when I supported another team and that was Saturday. I felt disgusted, ashamed and at the final whistle, relieved.
