Hi everyone! Excited to join the Evertonian collective!
Where about are you from?:
I currently live in Houston, Texas in the US, but spent most of my childhood in and around Nashville, Tennessee.
How did you find these forums?:
Just a simple web search... I'll take any opportunity to learn about the Toffees and interact with the fan base.
How did you become an Evertonian?:
Like many Americans, my first interest in football was in the USMNT. A lot of my work colleagues kept talking about European leagues (BPL, La Liga, Serie A, etc.) and how it's so much more exciting than international play. My challenge for the longest time was simply picking a side. But this past year, one particular conversation I had with a co-worker sold me on Everton - a gritty team that does a lot with a smaller budget than the top teams, but still hangs tough in the top half of the table. A team with character? That's the one for me.
I'm very much a newbie, though, as the first game that I watched was Match 31 last year (2-2 tie with Tottenham), so go easy on me!
Your all-time favourite Everton player?/Your current favourite player?:
I should probably be disqualified from this question. Seeing a familiar face in Howard was obviously a draw for me, but if I had to say, I'm split between Leighton Baines and Kevin Mirallas. Jagielka and Barkley are up there too.
(I do have to say though, despite his better-than-average play today against West Ham, I've had an overwhelming urge to not particularly care for Osman. Is that normal?

Just kidding with ya... I do know a Bill, but he cares more about the other kind of football. And I think I'll let the wife stick around despite the pineapple... she's started watching Everton with me and has been a bit of a good luck charm.
