That's a hell of a lot for a ciggie card mate, I suppose amongst collectors they must reach sums way beyond that if not many were issued originally.

What's your collection like mate? When did you start going to Goodison?

Depends on condition if in decent condition I would pay £75! If in Mint condition I may pay more.

Yeah I've got a couple of shoe boxes of pre war cards, for the whole league I think, several seasons possibly but sorry, they're were me nan's and I couldn't part with them. Gonna pass them down meself. Good look in your hunt though.

Also some other Dixie information, unlike today when a player receives an award for crossing the half way line the league never game Dixie anything. The only trophy he received was from "The Sunday Pictorial" this trophy is now owned by a friend of mine that bought it off Tranmere in the early 80s
