Hi all and apologies if this is the wrong place for this post.

My grandfather has been an Evertonian for over 75 years holding a season ticket for well over 60 of them, until the last few years when his health has taken a turn for the worse.

Sadly he has ever worsening Alzheimer’s and unsurprisingly the family isn’t taking it well, especially my mum. We live hours away but would always time trips to attend matches with him and I want to do everything I can to do this one last time. It seems to be in that stage where it’s exponentially getting worse too.

I’m not bothered who it’s against, I don’t want to take tickets from genuine toffees (I’m not an Everton fan for example, I just have a soft spot with the family ties) if it is going to be a sell out - although I’m not even sure if they all sell out now so this might be pointless. Do any matches still reach general sale?

Which remaining matches this season would I be best targeting for either 4/5 tickets and what do I need to do to obtain these, like do I need to sign up for ticketing accounts and look to buy x weeks before a game? How long would that be for my best chance? I just want us to experience something that brought us all joy numerous times throughout the year.

As a side note I’ve been in the home stands numerous times down the years and also as an away fan of my own team and you are some of the nicest and most hospitable fans I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with up and down the country.

Any help is appreciated!

Honestly contact the club maybe tell this sad story to them, they can be great doing things like that , probably only things they usually do right. Hope you get it sorted your family deserve it top toffee

I did consider it but I don’t want handouts or special treatment, just to have that one lasting memory, and for my mum especially. But I’ll consider your comments as I know what a great club Everton can be in these sorts of circumstances. Thankyou for taking the time to reply

It's not a handout.

He's suffered enough supporting this dross for so long.

Contact the club, point out his time served as a season ticket holder. They'll sort you out.
