Player Valuation: £10m
English sitcom - eighties I think. Premise: housewife becomes best selling author. Husband and publisher (or agent? - female anyway) hate each other - he makes the sign of the cross each time she shows up.

Can anyone tell me the name of this show? It's been driving the missus nuts trying to remember, since she walked into the room during the Stoke game and I made the sign of the cross to her as a "joke".

I walked into the doctors today with a steering wheel attached to my manhood. Up until he took it off, it was driving me nuts. .

Only one I can think of is Agony, I remember vaguely a sitcom where someone made the sign of the cross but can't put a name to it.

It's not After Henry either (I remember that one). Couldn't find it in Wiki or other Web resources, but I do remember it as well, so the missus is not imagining this one.

Come, you older members (like me) - stretch your memories - someone must have watched this in the UK if it made it to US television (I think it was on PBS).

Worst 80s sitcom by a comfortable country mile:

Language Timothy!!!!!!!!

Thank you for reminding me of this "comedy" i now have to find a way to wash my mind out to purge the memories of that [Poor language removed] i think iirc i sat through 10 mins of one episode soon after i went to my mums funeral and had more laughs there than watching that pile of [Poor language removed].

Miranda is leaving and needs a lift to the train station…
Alice: “Tom, do you mind running Miranda to the train?”
Tom: “Only if she gives me a 50 yard start.”
