I'm finnaly gonna get my ass in gear and get up to Goodison to see the boys in action and the home game against West Ham looks like the best option right now.

So i'm just after a bit of advice really, mainly on the best way to get tickets and best part of the stadium to get seats and advoid [Poor language removed] views. Th OS says tickets are on general sale so i presume there are some left. I want a seat thats good for singing and not surrounded by boring moaners!

Also i'm not sure how i'm gonan get there yet but i guess parking could be a bit of a hassle and i'd probably get lost so i'm thinking of getting the train so is there just 1 station in Liverpool and how easy is it to get to Gooison from there?

Any other advice greatly appreicated, cheers guys :)

I always order over e-ticketing mate. Its easy to register and getting tickets from that source has never been a problem for me. They give you an outline map of the stadium and you can click on each section and see if tickets are available there.

Its all a matter of choice, but i usually find the upper bullens or the Main stand/top balcony the best areas to sit for an overall view of the game. The good thing is that although once you clicked on a section, they offer you a seat. It should come up if that seat is restricted view so if you dont want it you can try again.

Hope that makes sense.

Lower Gwladys is the best for atmosphere, i've got a season ticket in there and i absolutely adore it.

You can get obstructed views but thats rows CC and back, so Lower Gwladys would be your best bet for singing.

Park End has a decent atmosphere and a top view but its abit expensive compared to the other stands in there, £34 for a league game, but probably be your best choice imo if its your first time, but up to you.

Parking all round the ground but varies from £5 (rarely!) to about £10.

Lime Street is the main train station so could just get a taxi from there which will set you back about a fiver maybe?

Hope ive helped you, hope its brilliant mate.

Cheers for the advice so far. I just signed up for eticketing and tried a couple of seats in Lower Gwladys, blocks 4 and 5 i think row HH. Didnt say anything about them being obstructed so i guess they are good?

Not worried so much about overall view of the match as long as we win and i get to savour the atmosphere as best i can.

Could be ok, most likely not with e-ticketing.

I'd phone up the box office, they will give you good seats and you can ask for a particular one but they charge an extra £1.50.

Got my ticket in Lower Gwladys :)

Just a quick question about getting to Goodison from Lime Street. I should (barring any delays) get in at 3.25 pm so ill have a bit of time to spare but whats the easiest way of getting to the ground? Taxi probably is so i presume i could get one out front of the station?

Getting back after the game will be the trickiest part cause my train leaves at 7.50pm so i wont have much time to fart around? Whats the score with getting a taxi after the game? I presume it will be pretty busy so if anyone has any tips i'd muchly apprieciate it :)

you can catch the bus to the stadium easily. just ask people around you at lime street station. should be plenty of blues about.

KO is 17:15, so + 100 minutes, so 18:55 leave you in theory 55 minutes to get back to lime street. its easily walked, and you'll make it in 30 minutes so long as you know the way. getting a taxi after the game can be very difficult, and the buses that run are not the easiest to catch either.

if i were you, id get back into the city asap and make your mind up about a pre train pint then.

If its only a 30 minute walk i'll probably go for that rather than waste ages getting a taxi. I thought it was more though. I dont actually know the way but ill make sure to take plenty of maps with me, anyone know any shortcuts lol. I jjst wanna advoid asking for directions off some red [Poor language removed] who sends me in the wrong direction!

Taxi from Goodison to Lime Street is usually around £6 mate. I catch them sometimes back into the city centre and never had any problem getting one after the game

Dno about that suit's, it's quite a trek and may take longer then 30 minutes.

I'd try and find a taxi around Goodison.

Won't be much about a tenner for the 2 trips.

Lower Gwladys has a great atmosphere, I sit in block 2 second row from the front. I get in there quite early because the lads end up right in front of us when they end their warm up. Got some good pics and videos on the phone. Some of the lads always exchange a few words. Pienaar, Van de Meyde (when he plays), Cahill, Manny, Tommy G and Neville are the friendliest. Hibbo always gives either his gloves or something to any kids hanging around up against the wall. He's a bit of a sweetie really.

You'll just love it in the LGS, have a great day out.
Come on you Blues!(y)
