I've been following GOT for a number of years but have now decided to take the plunge and open an account. Located in Wrexham where there is a strong blue following.
Decided to post as last weekend took my 10 yr old nephew to the Old Lady for his first ever match. With his dad not being into footie he changed each week from supporting man ure, citteh or the rs all depending who had been on sky that weekend.
Needless to say that four goal victory has won him over and he has been wearing his new Everton hat to school this week and wont let it out of his sight. The look on his face when we first took our seats in the upper Gwladys was priceless. Those of you that have experienced similar will know what I mean.
Anyway he cant wait to go again and I cant wait to take him along with my Evertonian son.
As I reach 50 next year I have some fantastic memories following the blue boys home, away and in Europe and hope that young Evertonians have the same opportunities in the future.
Cheers for now.

Welcome to GOT.

Strike while the iron is hot and have him go get an Everton crest tattooed on his arm. That way he knows he can't change allegiances now.

Top post mate.
Post more often, I like you .... a lot (y)

Spot on bluejock. Fantastic memories of Sharpy at Analfield and 5-0 against Man U all in a week if I remember right. 1984 CUP FINAL is probably the highlight along with Rotterdam in 85. My mate and I could only afford to either get to Rotterdam or Wembley for the cup final against Man U. As we had got to Wembley the year before luckily we chose Rotterdam and bought our tickets at the ground on the day. How times have changed.
This being Everton though I can remember crying listening to the radio after defeats to Villa in 77 and West Ham in 82 I think. Those times make the good times great though.
