Funnily enough I'll be having Duck breast with an apple and cider sauce. Prefer Weston's for its extra depth of flavour. I rarely drink these days. I don't know what "garys" are. Can you elaborate? I have no need for a hip flask.

Those posts you're referring to where for @BigBlueNose, aka the former poster - Frank Gallagher, who likes a white lightning cider and is partial to a "Gary " or two. Sorry to disappoint

Okay, didn't see his post as he's on my ignore list for well researched reasons. If he's unhappy with my reasoning then he can take this up with my training course provider.
