Just saying hi all. I'm new to the forms, and actually a new Toffee this year. Yup, I'm American, and yup, Timmy is why I started supporting Everton. Cliche, but it's gotta start somewhere, right?

I've always liked football (non-NFL style), but this was the first year that I made a concerted effort to follow the Prem closely. Maybe it was World Cup withdrawl, maybe it was NBC making it SO easy to watch matches live, but whatever the case, I'm all in now.

Dunno what else to put in here - just that it was suggested I create such a thread, so there ya go.

There are one or two fellow Americans posting on here.

One thing we like to know from our newcomers is their stance on pineapple on pizza, or pop. You are allowed to say yes to that as a topping, but stand a much bigger chance of getting banned in the future. :)

I'm in Ohio, working though the Chelsea match today, but my DVR will be dutifully recording it - 2:30, I go into media lockdown until I get home. :)

And pineapple on pizza? Quite simply, IMO, there is no sin greater. Good gawd. Sweet? On a PIZZA? Never! Begone, foul fruit!

Geez.... the anti-PoP discrimination isn't just tolerated anymore, but persecuted by the authorities. :eek:

for more its joel like but would think Americans would rather have timmy

That's a tough call. I mean, I love me some Timmy, but Joel's been in great (for him - he's no Courtios) form lately, while Tim was having problems before he was hurt. But, by the same token, Joel's had the benefit of a much more fully functional backline, while Howard was saddled with Distin, etc. Today's backline of Coleman, Stones, Jags, and (cross fingers) Bainsey is TONS better that what Tim had to work with.

All that said, I'd say, let's give Joel the nod. He's in the groove, while I have to think that Tim's a bit on the rusty side. I'd be more likely to give it to Tim if it weren't Chelsea. Tim can start next week v Leicester. Ease him back in.

Love Timmy, but Joel for me. He's earned it.

Going forward... guess it depends on how it goes in practice. It'll do them both a world of good if Tim has to fight to get back in the line up.
