Bill here from Cardiff. I've been a fan of Everton since the early nineties when my Uncle used to take me to watch such greats as Limpar, Amokachi and Duncan Ferguson, at the mighty Goodison park. Having lurked on this forum on my mobile, I decided to take the plunge to say this:

My teen years were dominated by ridicule at the hands of United and Liverpool fans at school ripping the piss of my support for Everton who were at the time serial relagation candidates. Only for us to battle back one magical season and win the cup(1995). We might be skint, we might be in dire financial straits but the truth is we can't afford to compete at the ridiculous end of the market with the Chelseas, Tottenhams and Man Citys. We're lucky to have a manager(up to now) who can work whthin these limitations and probably over achieve. In fact despite the fact that we have been poor this year he has assembled a very good squad. So despite today's dissapointment that our crippling financial situation has stopped us investing in new players. I'd say that we're in a better position than when I first found the club that I will always love. b)
