Hi Everton fans,

I just wanted to get all your views on the Lescott move, I've read lots of comments on here saying he joined us only for the money which I partly disagree with.

I think Lescott was motivated by the high ambition at City and he wanted to be part of it. Not saying the money didn't come into the frame at any point but my opinion is that it was mainly the ambition and the good times ahead at City.

Views please...

Sorry to dissapoint, and it's nothing personal, but right now we're damn glad he's moved on and he's your burden to bear now.

Them days are over mate. Besides we've still got our best CB here.

Well, I'm not going to say it was all about the money, but if I had a chance to double my salary I'd take it - especially for 90k a week!

I'd say about 90% was the money factor. 5% chance to win some silverware (but will only get as close as he did at Everton), and another 5% profile.

Anyhow, good for him he was able to get that salary - Personally, I don't think he's worth any where near THAT much money!

Brace yourself for a mild flaming.

I think it's pretty obvious he was getting info from his agent. Grooming him for City so the agent got his pound of flesh.

If he wasn't offered huge wages do you think he would have been quite so desperate to go?

90%?

That's a bit over the top, Everton at this moment in time aren't really going places and I think Lescott now in his prime, wants a bit of success.

Barely huge wages compared to some players.

Yes, I think he still would have chosen to come here.

Really? It's funny how the news MC were prepared to double his salary surfaced, and 24 hrs later he hands in a transfer request...

Anyway, its done and dusted now. Enjoy your new player, and we'll enjoy spending the cash (or part of it)... eventually.

Very immature there mate, not jealous by any chance are you?

Not sure about him being a burdan on us, he'll be very happy here.

wot u expect...a warm welcome
anyway as sed above ure welcome to him...until an offer of better wages comes along and then he'll be off
its always about the $$$
