Hibbert?

Both I think. He has lost some form, but there is no doubt that we have progressed massively since he first came in.

I think he is one of those players who was lucky to have no competition. Now we have Neville, and Jags who can play there he is struggling to keep pace.

Well I seem to remember back on the old TW board that some were pushing for him to be in the England squad when Neville was injured. Now sure he might not be Micah Richards but he used to be a good solid defender so hopefully he can get back to that.

He's a good marker and can play even top quality wingers out the game, but the way we play now - i.e. not just hard to beat but looking for the win, going forward, keeping possession - he's getting found out. Despite the stick he gets he always shows up, though, so I admire him for that. He needs to improve and - as Bruce says - now we'll see what he's made of.

Lets face it, he's an Everton player and I don't want any Everton player to fail so I hope he does get back to his best. Now his best still may not be good enough for the first team in its current form but even so, the guy has been a good player for us down the years and I don't wish him any harm at all.

Good marker? Cmon his positioning at the moment is a disgrace and he is letting himself down and the rest of the side.

I'm all for not kicking a player from our own club, but he needs to book his ideas up sharpish.

He seems to have lost it big time from the player he was 2 seasons ago i wonder if it has anything to do with that bug he picked up

If he was a flash harry van der Meyde type who was out to take us for a ride then I'd agree but he always seems pretty down to earth to me and I suspect he's as sad as the rest of us over his loss of form and will be working hard to try and get back to his best.

I disagree Bruce, Hibbert was okay a little while back when we had Weir and Stubbs covering for him as they hardly went up the field but we are now playing rather differently. Hibbert is not a bad player per se but is now as I have said before not good enough for us, we have moved on, he hasn't. I cannot see him getting any better either, his positional sense has gone, and cannot cross to save his life in fact his distribution is poor.

We need a RB if not Jags.

Oh I agree that he shouldn't be in the team right now but I still think he's a good honest pro and I hope he regains his confidence, even if it's with another club. He seems to have drifted into the Kilbane category lately.
