Thanks for joining me here.

This could be one of the biggest developments in the history of the modern world.

But its a theory. It has evidence in the form of the existing world, and the questions that can be answered. It goes un taught, because its unproven. It could be wrong. I endorse this view, because over the last few months Ive thought about this topic, and viewed all the evidence, quite simply put its the most obvious and most amazing thing Ive ever seen.

And it will revolutionize the face of science. They tell us that once upon a time, people thought the world was flat. We believed it, until someone else said the world was round. It took hundreds of years to change common perception, but guess what?

Its about to be changed again. What Im going to show you will probably make you think I and the guy who promotes this theory, is mad. But as you think about it more, the more it will make sense. The more the old theory will seem absurd.

Okay, enough delay. Everyone knows the theory of continental drift. Subduction, contraction, mountain ranges pushed up by colliding continents.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continental_drift

Please note the gif animation where the supercontinent pangea breaks apart suddenly (in the course of how old the world is), and the fact that Africa stays where it is. Does this not seem strange? All the other continents decide to zoom off in different directions while the one in the middle stays where it is? This always didnt make sense to me.

You see, they say there are continental plates that continents sit on, and they move around. Not just continents. Continental plates. They all fit on the same world, in place like a jigsaw, and are always moving around? Its common knowledge. Its become accepted so we dont question it. San Andreas fault anyone?

We all know this is the way the earth works. Or is it? Im gunna show you this guys evidence, and you can make up your own mind. Watch it with an open mind. Think about it. There is alot more basic evidence that can back it up.

The new theory, revolves more around continental spreading. What Im trying to say, is that the world is getting bigger. Much bigger. It was once a ball of rock, that slowly has grown to the size it is today. The continental plates dont move around. They grow.

Do you know that at any point under the sea, the sea floor is no more than 200 million years old? And thats from core samples. The land you walk around on today is up to 4 billion years old. They only ever find fossilised fish on land. Strange? I will show you this guys video. Dont poo poo it straight away.

Remember the most important thing when you watch it. The continental drift theory, is EXACTLY that. A theory. So is this. Watch this video first, then watch the other videos on his site.

Its amazingly compelling (if its wrong Ill happily admit it), would change the fundamentals of science itself, and would explain why a tyrannosaurus rex, shaped like it is, and as heavy as it is, can run around at high speed.

Without futher ado, I present to you the real planet we live on.

The expanding planet.

and the rest of the evidence. (Particulary look at the video on europe.)

http://www.nealadams.com/nmu.html

I present this without any degrees and with only layman science knowledge. I just think it makes perfect sense.

wow, that was a fascinating watch thanks for bringing that up McBain as I am very open minded. However, until there is more proof going one way or the other I shall continue to be so.

Still it was a great video to watch, if its true aswell then that could completely change the face of science.

Thanks mate, It is a really easy thing to dismiss as being ridiculous, but it kind of stays with you. If you see the rest of the vids, it explains how different parts of the world formed using this model, and also on other moons.

I am getting more convinced as time goes on but you are right. More study is definatley needed.

guffaw guffaw.

a nice childrens tale.

Because you know the real answer? If i told you massive continents were sliding around on magma, driven by forces unexplained, would you think i was joking?

And besides, the very same scientists tell us the world clumped together gravitationally in its formation...but stopped...and has always been exactly the same size....ummm....trying to get my head around that one...

sorry mcbain. you obviously believe some truth to the theory and i respect that. i honestly can't buy it *yet* but if you come across any more research related to the idea i'd gladly sit down with a cup of tea and an open mind.

I think the theory although radical does seem to fill a lot of holes left unanswered by modern day scientists. I agree, a lot more research is needed before it can be classed as a believable theory to the general public. However, I don't think that it is completely write-offable.

It is actually a sound theory. Need a little more backup, but it is a definate possibility.

I am doing an Earth Science course right now, and this might be a good alternative.

The thing with this is to keep an open mind about new things, that is how we make advances and the like. This isn't that far out there.

The bit about there being no such thing as gravity made me wonder for a nano-second, but if I'm not here tonight for the game, I'll be floating over the Tyrolean mountains, inspecting the ley-lines. Toodle-pip, chaps.

Thanks for the open mindedness peoples.

Your right its the kind of thing where people have the same reaction. I did too, and if it isnt true Ill be the first one to put my hand up and say, wow, thie guy really pulled one over on me. But he is respected, his theory does not seem ridiculous, not because we wouldnt know a geotherm from a theologen, but because in all manner of sensible theories, this is one.

It completeley contradicts what we know, or have been taught. The point is where do you go with this info? In todays world theres bugger all you can do unless The Greatest Living Geologist Around today goes "Hey, have a look at this would ya!" So there it is.

More research please Mr. Science Type Guys.

geotherm

vs

theologen

sounds like geologist vs theologist to me. sorry for the juvenile word play.

if earth was once a ball of molten gas/rock, where did the water come from? water being 75% (approx) of the earths surface and god knows what actual proportion.
