Says it all really. Whats going on at home? Is the fickleness of supporters lately reflected in our performances at home?

For a moment i thought this thread was about a crap ozzie soap.

Anyway, I think its too early to look into these kind of stats just yet. If these stats dont switch over by the end of the season ill be shocked.

Don't think it's anything to do with Goodison or the fans, its more to do with our current squad. Away from home we can sit deep, keep it tight and hit teams on the break with our pace up front.

At home it's not so easy. The opposition sit deep, keep it tight and it's up to us to break them down. We don't seem to have the quallity in midfield at the moment to do this, particularly with recent injuries to Arteta and Grav. Because of this we then revert to hoofing balls up front and then the crowd do start to get on the players backs.

Spot on mate.

correct young sir

it is indeed for those reasons . at home creativity becomes an issue . away its speed on the break and general tempo . plus , goodisons full of moaning fuckers who are one bad game away from a boo fest . gets on my tits . still , i love it so . there you are . my connundrum . lcab (y)

OR, could it simply be that at home we've faced Utd, a damn good Reading, whilst away we've had a crap Spurs, a crap Bolton and a team at the bottom of the championship?

Give it time its too early to read too much into those stats.

We haven't played Reading at home, we played them away and they weren't a damn good side, they were very average and were there for the taking. We have played Wigan, Blackburn, Utd and Metalist at home. 1 win from those 4 isn't good enough and it's not just about stats, the performances in each of those games were poor too.

But I take your point about giving it time, which is why I mentioned our current injuires in my last post. Hopefully they'll make the difference when they return.

For what it's worth...Yakubu 1-0 on Sun. COYB!

OK slip of the memory on that one. But saying Reading were there for the taking is just your take on it, i think they are a good team.

Your right 1 win from 4 isnt good enough, but thats not my point, im saying that its too early to really look at home and away form and read too much into it. By the end of the season the home form will be better than the away, then we need to compare where we stand based on the other teams. Right now its not really telling us much other than we've had a couple of bad games.

You both have a point, would rather wait for a while before looking at the stats but watched the Reading game and both teams were gash. We were just more gasher.

They could do an Ipswich this year.

Well according to the conclusion that we lack creativity at home and score away because of playing the break...
Maybe we have a really good chance against Metalist? (y)
